What's next for your blog? A new design? Search engine optimization and social media? More photos? A different content focus? Moving to a new blogging software platform? Come share your plans, and inspire others. By the way, this will be my last meeting as Meetup organizer. I'll be taking classes and traveling much of the winter and spring. Interested in organizing the group? Let me know. We have two assistant organizers to help with the transition! Cheers, Karen

No meeting in August -- but get ready for the Sept. 16 meeting on "How do we find time to blog?" Some people stick to a rigid schedule, some write posts in advance and release them over the next week or so, some bloggers put together blogging teams -- and some small business owners hire contractors to blog for them. What's your solution? We'll talk about: • How often do you blog? • Do you create schedule (and do you stick with it)? • How long does it take you to put together text and/or photos for a blog post? Til then, here are some tips: How do you find time to blog when it's not your day job? Cheers, Karen Karen Anderson Seattle Weblogger Meetup organizer BLOG: www.writerway.com

Does your blog take a week off in the summer? Or do you take your blogging with you when you travel? Grab an exotic iced latte at the Wayward and let's discuss these and other blogging questions. This mid-summer evening meetup is a great time to jump in and join the group, or bring along a friend.

Discuss blogging trends, technology, and challenges with people with real-world blogging experience. The Seattle Webloggers groups brings together bloggers with traditional online journals, people running news sites and business blogs, and writers who do blogging and ghost blogging for a living. The meeting starts off with a half hour or so on a specific topic, and then is open to general discussion. This month we'll be talking about ways to put a feed from your blog onto your website, and ways to bring traffic to your blog from Twitter. What works, and what doesn't? And what do you think of people who post their Twitter Tweets on their blogs? See you June 17, 7 p.m., at the Wayward.

First of all, apologies for the late notice this month. And I want to thank Bill (you'll remember him from the Ralph's Grocery days) for stepping up to be the host for this meetup. It's at the Wayward, home of the melted cheese bagels. Please stop by and join the other Webloggers as we boast about or bemoan the state of our blogs and discuss blogging in general. June meeting preview: I've heard from a couple of other folks who are interested in helping organize the June meeting, which will also be at the Wayward. Mark you calendars for June 17. Cheers, Karen

Please join us at the Wayward Coffeehouse, 7 - 8:30 p.m. In the past month or two we've had several people join the Weblogger Meetup who are thinking about starting a blog, or have just started one, and have questions about blogging. So it seems like a great time for an information exchange. New bloggers: Bring your burning questions about blogging. Established bloggers: Bring the tip you wish someone had given you back when you started blogging — or a new tip you've just discovered that you're excited about it. This month we're back at the Wayward Coffeehouse in Greenwood Avenue, just above 85th St. It's convenient to mass transit, has free neighborhood parking, and they make good snacks (soups, sandwiches, bagels) as well as some outrageous espresso drinks. And, of course, there's good WiFi for your laptop. See you there! Please email me with any questions.

Can your blogging get you a job? Can it cost you one? We'll be talking about ways people can use blogs to enhance their employability — plus talk about some ways to make sure your blog doesn't count against you in the business world. The folks at Office Nomads on Capitol Hill have offered to host this meeting at their location on 1617 Boylston Avenue (just off E. Pine St.) on Capitol Hill. (Map here.) This is a great opportunity to check out their space and office services. They currently are offering a "Pink Slip Special" — anyone who can show them a layoff pink slip gets a free full month of daily drop-in membership, worth $375. Refreshments. There's coffee and tea on the premises, and I'll bring soft drinks and snacks. You are more than welcome to bring something more substantial along with you, as I know some folks are coming directly from the office. How to get there: Office Nomads is near Metrol bus lines 10, 14, 43, 49 and 60. There is a parking garage across the street (entrance on Harvard Ave.) with stairs that lead to Boylston Ave. Parking is $5 for the evening. You are also likely to find parking on E. Pike St. or E. Pine St.

(Please note date correction! We are meeting Wednesday, Jan. 21) There are thousands of blogs about food: cooking, dining out, gardening and farming, nutrition, food allergies, the political and cultural aspects of food -- even food photography. We'll be talking about the food blogging we do, and the food blogs we follow -- as well as having our usual free-form discussion about blogs and blogging in general.

Do you blog like Seth Godin? Guy Kawasaki? Mistress Matisse? What is your blog saying about you? Interestingly, your blog can have a different personality type than you do. If you have one or more blogs, they are likely to reveal different facets of your personality. Use Typealyzer to determine your blog's personality type (and check out other people's blogs as well); then let us know what you've found. I've been analyzing quite a few of the major blogs, and will reveal the results at the Dec. 17 meeting! BTW, our new venue, the Wayward Coffee House at 8570 Greenwood, turns out to be quite wonderful. They make some pretty exotic lattes, and delicious bagels tops with melted cheese, pesto, etc. NOTE: I'll treat the first Weblogger who shows up wearing a Santa hat(or antlers) to a tall latte of your choice!

NEW LOCATION! The Wayward Coffeehouse is on Greenwood Ave. N., conveniently near the #5 (north/south) and #48 (east/west) Metro bus routes. There's also pretty good (and free) street parking. The Wayward has wonderful espresso drinks, light snacks, and a casual, comfy "big living room" environment. And generally reliable fast WiFi. Come talk about how blogging has changed your life (or how you might like it to). Bring stories, laptops, digital cameras, Flips, etc., and come talk with fellow denizens of the blogoverse. Expect to hear some discussion of how Twitter and blogs interact.
