Hi Toronto Weblogger community. There is a new meet-up scheduled, including a presentation on Search Engine Optimization. The topic of presentation: "The 4 main strategies I used to attract 732,162 visitors from the Search Engines in September 2009, and how you can apply these strategies on your own website."

Chris Tew, will be delivering the presentation, he has generated over 5 million visitors in 2009 to his online magazine's (aka blogs). The presentation will be held at the Pilot, and will be followed by networking with other members of the Weblogger & SEO community. Chris & I will be on-site from 5:30PM for a bite to eat. Description of Presentation:

If you research SEO you'll find countless tricks and tips about how to rank high in Google. You'll probably be hit with a bunch of confusing jargon like meta keywords, page rank, pingbacks, permalinks, nofollow links, social media, bookmarking, duplicate content, keyword density etc.

But what is it that really matters?

For me, the reality is that, despite the hype, many of the tricks surrounding all this fancy jargon are not that important. What really matters comes down to 4 basic principles you should apply when building and promoting your site.

This presentation will discuss these 4 principles, how I used them, and how you can use them to power Google visitors to your site. The presentation will be informal, questions will be welcome throughout, and you'll have the chance to network with everyone after the presentation.
