Announcing a new event for The Melbourne Weblogger Meetup Group!
What: Melbourne Bloggers Meetup - All Welcome When: Wednesday, May 23, 6:30 PM Where: Click the link below to find out! Event Description: Well after a lot of searching for venues, debate on dates and a little procrastination I'm happy to announce the first Melbourne Webloggers Meetup. Date: Wednesay 23 May Time: 6.30pm onwards (so those in the CBD can come straight from work) Place: The Horse Bazaar Bar - 397 Little Lonsdale St Melbourne Cost: nothing - buy your own drinks/coffee/food The Horse Bazaar is a 'digital arts bar' so I thought it sounded appropriate. It also won bar of the year recently in 'cheap eats'. They even have wifi for those of you unable to disconnect completely or for those of you who get there early and want something to do. We went with Wednesday because it was voted for most in the Poll. I understand that this means a couple of you can't make it but the same was true if we went for a Thursday night so we had to make a call. There are currently 56 people on our meetup list - I'm assuming some of you won't be able to make it but would love for you to pass this invitation on to any other Melbourne Bloggers you know. In other news - there's another event (Melbourne Online Digital Media - MODM) happening on 7 June that you might like to look at also. It's for anyone in new media (slightly wider focus than our bloggers group). Details of that meetup are here - http://upcoming.yahoo... I'm looking forward to seeing you on 23 May at the Horse Bazaar! Darren Learn more here: http://blog.meetup.co... |

MODM is a new event for Melbourne's Online Digital Media community to socialize and talk about everything that's new in media:
+ Business models for podcasting, blogging, machinima, second life, mobile content, YouTube, MySpace, etc. + Using new media to change the world + The intersection of mainstream media and new media + How to build an audience, raise funding, legals, etc. If you produce digital media, or want to produce digital media, this is the event for you. UPDATE: Our guest at this event will be acclaimed Australian futurist Dr Peter Ellyard! -- Cait http://scientaestubiq...
