G'day Melbourne bloggers

I bumped into Darren at SMX last week, had a quick chat about this group & have decided to put my hand up for the rest of the year as organiser...so... let's have a catch up soon, keep Darren's initial work going & get some momentum going again.

I'm thinking mid May, somewhere downtown, 6-8pm, somewhere quietish

Any preference on the day? Would Tues-Thurs work better, or are people happy with a Friday night??

Never done this before, so any suggestions gratefully received. In the interests of getting things going, flick me a quick (1 line is fine) email with your thoughts/wishes/wants by this Thursday
& I'll send an email out next week with meeting details.

Let's keep this going - it would be great to talk to each other in person with a beer in hand, rather than just see each other's tweets! And no, I'm not one of those crazy extroverted people that will be arranging games & business card swaps etc etc... it's just a friendly catch up with fellow business owners & people with the same mindset as us!

Tell me what you want & I'll see what I can do... :)

First, thanks for taking this on Mike - I appreciate it. I'm more than willing to promote it any way I can.

In terms of times. Last time we asked members for their ideas there were a large variety of responses. We surveyed members about times here - http://blog.meetup.co... and frequency here - http://blog.meetup.co... but it has been a while since we did that.

My personal preference is something where I can come along after getting my kids to bed on a week night. There's a few groups that meet around Melbourne that do it at breakfast time (hard when you live in the burbs and have kids) so doing it at a different time would appeal to me.
